Inaugural Access Worlds concluded in Canada
2007The final races of the Inaugural Access Class World Championships at Whitby Yacht Club were abandoned today with thunderstorms threatening. Organisers and sailors satisfied that they had completed sufficient races with all divisions sailing at least 8 heats.Access World Championship Concluded

Dinghy Program Launches
at the new dinghy dock, located on San Francisco's Pier 40 at South Beach, convenient to public transportation, BAADS launches Access Dinghies: Small boats that are especially safe. These stable boats are perfect for new sailors; learning how sails and rudders work with the winds and currents to create a great ride, or for spirited racing.

At every BAADS fundraising or informational event the “Sailors First” DVD  should be played or sold. This is our Emmy Award winning half hour program directed by our multi award winning member Alison Victor.  Keep a copy on hand for fundraising opportunities or buy one to learn more about BAADS and meet some of our top sailors.  To order the DVD send $20 to "13 Degrees TV productions - 2560 Balboa Street, San Francisco, CA 94121" and include your mailing address.

OOD Training
South Beach Yacht Club will be training new people to become OOD's, Officers of the Day. To learn more about the position, its responsibilities and privileges, go to http://www.southbeachyc.org/oods.htm and study the 42 page manual available for download there. After familiarizing yourself with the manual, prepare a resume of your food service and/or small business management experience and email it to the SBYC HOOD, at the address in the manual.
